Astro Blaster turns a plain wall into a live AR arena—no headsets, fast sessions, solo or co-op, perfect for FECs, malls, museums and events.

Astro Blaster is a projection AR system that turns a plain wall into a live, interactive game scene—digital content is overlaid onto the real surface, and players engage with it using safe laser blasters. The format is instantly clear, eye-catching from a distance, and a perfect fit for family entertainment centers, mall play zones, interactive museums, and events.
What the device is
The setup combines a projector, a computing unit, and sensors to create and maintain augmented projection on a vertical surface. A bright 3D image, large-scale animations, and accurate hit detection deliver fast, dynamic gameplay with high replay value.
Key strengths:
Immersive 3D projection on a wall — a “live” scene visible from across the venue.
AR without headsets — nothing to wear; interaction happens in shared space, right in front of spectators.
Solo and team play — flexible for families and groups of friends.
Competitive mechanics — points, power-ups, “medkits,” enemy waves, and the drive to beat your high score.

Purpose and business value
Entertainment venues & malls. The bright projection acts like a traffic magnet. Short sessions increase throughput; multiplayer boosts average ticket size.
Museums & exhibitions. Themed scenes plug into narratives about technology and space, easing information fatigue and adding a memorable interactive.
Events & promo. Rules explained in 10–15 seconds, strong show effect, and team dynamics make it a powerful anchor attraction for any booth or lounge area.
How a play session feels (in short)
The loop is simple: aim → shoot → score points → grab a power-up → survive the wave. As players progress, new challenges and power-ups appear. In co-op, participants share roles, cover each other, and compare personal scores.
Installation and requirements
Astro Blaster is a wall-mounted play zone. For reliable operation, you’ll need:
a flat light-colored wall or screen,
proper positioning of the projector and sensor,
basic ambient-light control (to keep image contrast high),
a safe, open area on the floor in front of the wall.
It’s a walk-up, play-immediately format—no booths or lengthy briefings—and it integrates neatly into an arcade lineup while staying highly visible.

Use cases
Family areas: parents and kids play together, friendly score duels.
High-traffic mall zones: quick rounds for passersby, high player turnover.
Corporate events: mini-tournaments and department “battles.”
Edutainment spaces: space/tech scenes as playful learning moments.
Why it works
Wow factor and visibility. A large, dynamic AR projection naturally draws a crowd.
Broad audience. No headsets, no complex rules—fun for everyone.
Flexible monetization. Per-try, time slots, memberships, party bundles—adapt to your model.
Reasons to return. Score-chasing and friendly rivalry encourage repeat visits.
Brief on games and modes (full details in a separate article)
Two core approaches are supported:
Rail-shooter with set-piece scenes and rising difficulty—for fans of action.
Static arcade range in a stylized, cartoon look—short sessions ideal for family zones and events.
Age guidance and content selection are tailored to your venue and scenario—we’ll cover that separately.

Operations
Fast onboarding: explain the rules in 10–15 seconds.
